Hi, my name is Chris, I have only recently taken to carp fishing, following growing up pike fishing. I have been carp fishing for around 4 months now and have quickly taken to it, catching a number of double figure mirror and common carp in my first few visits. So far I have covered venues across South Yorkshire as well as Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. I'm currently fishing with the brand-new Diawa Theory Carp rods, and Shimano Baitrunner reels and would highly recommend both. My current personal best stands at 17lb 5oz, following netting a lovely common at Aston Park Fisheries, Sheffield. Hopefully I can net a 20lb+ fish before the end of the year!
Hello, I'm James, and unlike Chris I have been carp fishing for quite a few years now, following taking it up whilst living in Dorset when I was younger. I have fished a number of venues across Dorset and the South West, as well as areas listed by Chris previously. I have recently purchased 2 Diawa Carp rods and look forward to testing them out, fingers crossed I can hook a biggy in the near future. As with Chris, my personal best was caught at Aston Park, a 16lb 7 oz Mirror Carp.
